• French Trip Day 4

  Bonjour!

  Everyone had a great night's sleep. We're just having a tasty breakfast, filling ourselves up for the exciting day ahead!

   

  We've just visited the American Military Cemetery. The children were incredibly respectful and quite moved by the experience of seeing the 9000 perfectly aligned white crosses. We are now en-route to Arromanches.

   

  We are in beautiful Arromanches having our tasty lunches, overlooking the famous Mulberry Harbours!

   

  After visiting lovely Arromanches, and the great gift shops there, we are now heading towards the Caen ferry port ⛴️!

   

  We're now on the ferry ⛴️. We have a great room to rest in and everyone is in high spirits. We'll soon be getting some food and visiting the shop. The children are having a great time taking part in a few quizzes on the ferry!

   

  We're back in the UK and on the last leg of the journey! It's been a wonderful French trip. Thanks go to the staff for doing such an incredible job, and also to the children, who've been so fantastic and well-behaved. You've done us all proud and have made this French trip a truly special and memorable experience for all!

• French Trip Day 3

  Bonjour!

  After another good night's sleep, the children had a tasty breakfast and made their packed lunches, ready for the day ahead! Today, we will be visiting: Sainte-Mère-Église, the Airborne Troops Museum and the Bayeux Tapestry!

   

  We saw the historic church and visited the lovely market in Sainte-Mère-Église. We also visited the Airborne Troops Museum, which has now been updated to include even more interactive exhibits! The children had a great time and also learnt a lot!

   

  We've just visited the historic town of Bayeux and saw the world-famous Bayeux Tapestry and Bayeux cathedral too! Once again, the children showed excellent behaviour all through the visit. We're now heading back to the chateau.

   

  We're back at the chateau! After packing, and a nice time playing outside, the children have been enjoying a tasty barbeque!

   

  We just had a great disco to celebrate our last night. The children had a fun time and showed their dance skills too! They're now in bed and sleeping well, ready for the final day tomorrow. Bonne Nuit!

   

   

  

• French Trip Day 2

  Bonjour! Everyone slept really well last night. We had a filling breakfast and are now looking forward to our visit to the amazing fortress/abbey of Mont Saint Michel🏰

   

  We've just got back from visiting Mont Saint Michel. There were a lot of steps, but it was worth it for the amazing views from the top and the incredible fortress/abbey itself! The photos show just why it's known as one of the 'Wonders of the Western World!'

   

  After stopping for a picnic, we then visited the Huisnes-sur-Mer German war cemeteries. The children were very respectful during the visit and will be able to compare this cemetery to the American Military Cemetery on the final day.

   

  We're back at the chateau and the children had supper, and a fun end of the day. We listened to some excellent singing, and there was also some 'alternative' singing too! Everyone then had a lovely time outside playing. The children are now in bed sleeping, ready for another great day tomorrow! Bonne nuit!

  

• French Trip Day 1

  After the very early start, everyone relaxed and had a great time chatting, reading, sleeping and playing games on the drive down to Dover. We're now through passport control and on the ferry⛴️. Everyone's in high spirits and eager to get to la belle France🇫🇷!

   

  Bonjour! Nous sommes bien arrivés en france🇲🇫!

  We've just landed in Calais, and are looking forward to seeing more of the beautiful French countryside.

   

  We just stopped for a bite to eat and are feeling much better (and nice and full) now! We are currently on the last leg of our journey to the wonderful Chateau Du Molay!🏰

   

  We have now arrived at the beautiful chateau🏰🇲🇫. The grounds look amazing and everyone is very happy with their rooms. After showing perfect behaviour all day, the children are now happily enjoying their well-deserved meal!

   

  After the meal, we came out into the beautiful grounds of the chateau. As you can see from the photos, the grounds are simply amazing! We are now taking part in a fun quiz!

   

  The children just had a fun time in the games' room. They've now gone to bed to get some rest. We're heading to Mont. Saint Michel tomorrow! Bonne nuit!

  

• Royal Correspondence

  During coronation week amongst many of the activities the children participated in, one was writing messages to the King and Queen.

   

  Well I am delighted to inform you that the school had a reply, a letter from the Head of Royal Correspondence and a signed card, with photograph, from King Charles and Queen Camilla.
