Breakfast Club and After School Club

Some of you may be aware of the Government initiative to set up and fund free breakfast clubs for primary schools.

I am delighted to inform you that our school has been selected to be an “early adopter” of the new scheme.  This means that we are now in a position to offer every pupil access to a free breakfast from April 22nd 2025.

Breakfast club will open from 8.00 - 8.15 am.

Breakfast clubs will ensure every child, no matter their circumstances, can achieve their full potential by providing a supportive start to the day.  Breakfast clubs offer much more than just food; they can serve as a welcoming space for children, providing valuable opportunities for them to play, learn and socialise at the beginning of the school day.

Your child will be given a free breakfast and will be supervised whilst they eat.  This will be followed by activities either in the hall or on the playground depending on the weather.  All extended activities are led by staff employed at the school.  The children feel very safe in Breakfast Club as all the staff are known to the children as they are employed by the school.

Your child will have a breakfast choice of cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit.  All will be compliant with School Food Standards.

The management of food allergies, food intolerance or Coeliac disease is a priority.  You must make the school aware if your child has an allergy or dietary requirement so it can be managed safely.

After School Club

The school offers wrap around care from 3.20 - 6.00 pm.  During that time the children have outside activities as well as indoor activities.

We have a range of toys, bikes, scooters and construction for the children to use as well as colouring activities and reading.

Children who stay until 6.00 pm are given a light tea at 4.30 pm.

There are different prices for children who stay until 4.15 pm and those who stay until 6.00 pm.

It is advisable to book as it is very popular.
