Year 6 French Trip - Day 2 Review by Amy
After coming off the shuttle we reached Mont Saint-Michel. It was huge and awe-inspiring. I couldn't pick a favorite part. The inside was beautiful and really interesting to look around.
We all had ice-cream or chips and chicken. Then, we proceeded to climb up countless stairs, causing some of us to lose our breath. The top greeted us with brilliant and extreme views of the ocean, beach and the people enjoying food below. We continued into the Abbey, which was (I personally thought) better than the busy shops below. It had equally awe-inspiring views.
After, we had the hand-made baguettes from earlier for our lunch. We moved on to a German War Cemetery, which deeply moved me. Seeing all the memorials was very touching. It surprised me that the French would let the Germans be buried there. After looking around, we left and headed back to the Centre, ready for dinner and the disco.
