Milton Keynes Foodbank Messages of Hope 2021

Milton Keynes Foodbank Messages of Hope 2021

On Tuesday 30th November, four of our young Liturgy Leaders Filip Wiski, Tyra Atamba, Sarah Sinnett and Helena Gee attended the MK Foodback Christmas Messages of Hope event.

The event was organised as a thank you to all those schools who have continuously supported the food bank to provide help to families in dire need.

As part of this event, MK Foodbank distributed 5,750 tags to schools.  This figure equates to the number of food parcels distributed to children just this year.  Children across the schools were asked to write messages of hope on each tag.

During the event the children helped decorate an enormous Christmas tree with messages of hope tags from schools across Milton Keynes.

The children of course behaved impeccably and as usual did us proud.  Father Christmas put in an appearance, and the event was rounded off with biscuits, hot chocolate with all the trimmings and a small edible gift to take home.

Thank you Liturgy Leaders and most of all thanks to all of you who have so generously provided items of food to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

A very merry Christmas from the Liturgy Leader team.
