Bonjour! Everyone slept well, we had a lovely breakfast and set off for another great day in France!

We stopped off at Omaha Beach, and as well as the beach and monuments, also saw another WW2 flypast!

We then went to visit the American War Cemetery. The cemetery was a very moving experience for everyone. The children were very respectful seeing the 9388 gravesites. They were able to see the places they had learnt about in school and understand the sacrifices made by the soldiers.

Afterwards, we went to visit scenic Arromanches and the famous Mulberry harbours. The children also had a chance to visit the gift shops and buy an ice cream too.

We then continued on our journey to Bayeux, home of the world-famous Bayeux tapestry! In Bayeux, we visited the impressive Cathedral of Our Lady of Bayeux. After that we had the chance to see and learn all about the incredible Bayeux tapestry.

Back at the chateau, the children had a lovely barbecue supper and then showed off their incredible dance moves at the disco! Everyone has now happily gone to bed. After another great day, everyone will sleep very well tonight. Bonne nuit!
