The children thoroughly enjoyed an assembly yesterday delivered by the Milton Keynes Music Service.
We listened to a range of pieces performed by the musicians on their woodwind instruments.
It was fantastic to experience a live orchestral performance and to learn more about the instruments.
This morning Mrs Cathy Stormonth from CAFOD led a Big Lent Walk whole school assembly and presented us with this wonderful banner before the walks commence. Children will walk a prescribed number of laps of the school field perimeter! Our collective steps will more than cover the 200km target set by CAFOD. Each child will receive a sticker and prayer card as a thank you.

Our years 3/4 badminton team put on a fantastic display of skill and determination at this year’s annual tournament! With impressive individual matches and resilience, the pupils showcased their talent, finishing in an outstanding 2nd place—missing out on the top spot by just three points. A huge well done to all our pupils for their hard work and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of their achievement!
The children who attend Rocksteady performed for their parents. They sounded amazing!
Some of our Year 3/4 pupils took part in the annual Basketball Tournament at St Paul’s, an action-packed event filled with energy, teamwork, and incredible sportsmanship! Our young players showcased their growing skills, from fast dribbles to impressive shots, all while supporting their teammates with enthusiasm. Every game was played with determination and fair play, making it a fantastic experience for all involved. A huge well done to the team for their amazing effort—finishing 2nd place overall is an outstanding achievement!
The Student Council decided to make a 'Get Well Card' for Ann Baird our caretaker. Every class contributed a page with their own get well messages. At St Mary Magdalene we love and care for each other. We all wish Ann a speedy recovery and to tell her we miss hearing her voice. God bless and see you soon.
The card and flowers were delivered to Ann at home.

The Liturgy Leaders are asking children to make snowdrops as a Sign of Hope for their Lenten campaign this year. A photo will be taken of all the entries and you can see these by clicking on Catholic Life and choosing Liturgy Leaders. We cannot wait to see the reception area full of beautiful snowdrops.
The Eco council members expressed an interest in not only making an impact to our school community but also our local area. They have decided that a litter pick around the local community would be a very positive thing to do.
The Eco Council worked really hard litter picking around the local area. We recycled as much of the litter as possible. Well done Eco Council you did a fantastic job!!
